1. Chhakka Panja 3

Box-Office: Around 30.50 Crores

The third installment of Chhakka Panja, the most successful franchise as well as the most popular Nepali film franchise in the history of the Nepali Film Industry, is the highest grossing Nepali movie of all time.

The third part of the franchise CHAKKA PANJA 3 is also a Nepali comedy film directed and co-produced by Deepa Shree Niraula under the production company of the Aama Saraswati Movies Private Limited. 

The film has a total collection of around 30.50 Crores, including domestic and international collections. The film was released on October 1, 2018.

2. Chhakka Panja 2

Box-Office: 28 Crores

The top 3 slots of all-time highest grossing Nepali movies are filled with all three parts of the Chhakka Panja franchise. This series has undoubtedly dominated the collections of Nepali movies. 

Chhakka Panja 2 is also a dark comedy social drama Nepali movie directed and co-produced by Deepa Shree Niraula. Though the theme of all three released movies in the franchise is the same, the craze and love for this franchise haven’t decreased. 

The film was released on August 27, 2017. The film had been able to collect around 28 Crores at both domestic and international markets, making the film the 2nd highest-grossing Nepali movie of all time.

3. Chhakka Panja 

Box-Office: 25 Crores

Chhakka Panja, the first part of this franchise broke all the previous box-office records of the Nepali film industry with its release. Chhakka Panja had created a humongous craze among the Nepalese audiences which was never seen before experience for a Nepali movie. 

Chhakka Panja is a dark comedy social drama film. The film had received a lot of positive response from the critics as well as audiences for its performances, direction, screenplay, and senses of humor used in the movie. 

Later the craze for this franchise remains the same for its other two sequels too. This film was also directed and co-produced by Deepa Shree Niraula. The film released on September 9, 2016. 

Even the international business of this film was highly affected due to piracy, the film was still able to collect 25 Crores including both domestic and international markets, and became the highest-grossing of that time, and third highest grossing Nepali movie of all time. 

4. Shatru Gate

It seems like the Nepalese audiences like comedy films more than movies of other genres. Shatru Gate is a comedy-drama romantic movie directed by Pradip Bhattrai and co-produced by Deepa Shree Niraula and Deepak Raj Giri along with Shivhari Paudel and Narendra Kansakar.

5. Loot 2

Loot 2 is the sequel to the 2012 historical and blockbuster Nepali film Loot. Loot 2 is an action crime drama film. Following the success and wonder at the Nepali box-office, Loot 2 had also created a huge buzz at the box-office by earning about 1.5 Million worldwide on its opening day.

The film hit the theatres on 24 February 2017. Loot 2 is directed by the multi-talented guy working in the Nepali film industry Nischal Basnet, who had also directed the first part Loot. 

The film has talented actors and actresses like Saugat Malla, Dayahang Rai, Karma Shakya, Bipin Karki, Reecha Sharma, Srijana Subba, and Alisha Rai. The film collects about 23.5 Crores at the global box office. 

6. Kohinoor

Being the last feature film of one of the most popular, respected, and highest-grossing actor of Nepal Shree Krishna Shrestha, the film was very close to the sentiments of Nepali audiences. 

Kohinoor is a romantic-drama film directed by Aakash Adhikari and was produced by Late Shree Krishna Shrestha himself and was released on August 8, 2014. The film stars Shree Krishna Shrestha along with his wife Sweta Khadka

Globally, Kohinoor has collected 22.2 Crores making it the highest-grossing Nepali movie of all time at the time of its release.

7. Kabaddi Kabaddi

Box-Office: 10 Crores

Kabaddi Kabaddi or Kabaddi 2 is the sequel to the 2013 Nepali movie Kabaddi. Kabaddi Kabaddi is a romantic drama film directed and co-written by Ram Babu Gurung

The film stars Dayahang Rai, Saugat Malla, Priyanka Karki, Rishma Gurung, and Buddhi Tamang. The film has cross 10 Crores at the global box office.

8. A Mero Hajur 2

Box-Office: 8.3 Crores

A Mero Hajur 2 is the sequel to the blockbuster Nepali movie A Mero Hajur. The original A Mero Hajur was written and directed by Shiva Regmi. A Mero Hajur had Shree Krishna Shrestha and Jharana Thapa in the lead of the film.

After 15 years of the first part, the second part of the film with new actors and a new storyline was released on September 1, 2017. This time the movie is written by Harihar Adhikari and directed by Jharana Thapa

9. Prem Geet 2

10. Ma Yesto Geet Gauchhu 2

Ma Yesto Geet Gauchhu is a musical romantic-drama Nepali film co-directed by Sudarshan Thapa and Satyaraj Chaulagain

The film follows the story of a girl who falls into the love of a thief after she loses her memory in an accident. 

The film was released on 14 July 2017 and collected about 7.20 Crores at the domestic and international markets.
